Nail Trims

Rabbit and Guinea Pigs need to have their nails trimmed every 6-8 weeks. We have up to 4 events every month to provide this service. 

We send out email (usually monthly) to keep everyone informed of nail trim events   

These events are:

  1. Los Gatos

  2. Santa Cruz (Soquel)

  3. Cavy Haven event in Campbell for Guinea Pigs (No Appointment needed)

 

Los Gatos

  •   When: Usually 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month.
  •   Where: Pet People in Los Gatos
  •   What: Rabbits (Guinea Pigs also allowed)
  •   Appointments Needed?: Yes
  •   Price: $20 rabbits and guinea pigs
  •   Parking: Please do not use the limited parking space at the Pet People store. There is on street parking on Santa Cruz Ave and Andrews Ave. Plus, a free parking lot at the Cornerstone Title Company on 506 Andrews (signs will be posted). 
  •   Retail Merchandise Available: Only at Main Events from 11-4
  •   Trimmers: Full group of all available trimmers at Main event; Usually just James at Secondary event
  •   Appointments Open: Limited appointments open up day after prior event. All appointments open up at least 2 weeks before event.
  •   Donations and Foster Equipment return: Can only accept Hay and Fleece
  •   Dropins: Not allowed unless a trimmer is idle
  •   Note: Store gives 15% off Oxbow products when Main event is 1st Saturday of the month

 

Santa Cruz (Soquel)

  •   When: Usually Third Sunday of every month.
  •   Where: Pet Pals in Soquel (Santa Cruz)
  •   What: Rabbits and Guinea Pigs 
  •   Appointments Needed?: Yes
  •   Price: $15
  •   Parking: Plenty at store
  •   Retail Merchandise Available: No
  •   Trimmers: James
  •   Appointments Open: All appointments open up day after prior event. 
  •   Donations and Foster Equipment return: All
  •   Dropins: Anyone with appointment has priority, so you may have a very long wait without one.

 

Cavy Haven event in Campbell

  •   When: First Sunday of every month
  •   Where: Pet Food Express in Campbell (1902 S Bascom Ave)
  •   What: Guinea Pigs ONLY -- No Rabbits
  •   Appointments Needed?: No
  •   Price: $15 suggested donation
  •   Parking: Available at store
  •   Retail Merchandise Available: Few Available
  •   Trimmers: Cavy Haven staff
  •   Appointments Open: n/a
  •   Donations and Foster Equipment return: Allowed
  •   Dropins: Yes

You are allowed to change or cancel your appointment up to 12 hours before the event. For cancellations, you will need to either: 

  1. Manually request a refund using PayPay, or
  2. Book your next appointment using the Prepaid Category.

If you have an appointment and develop Covid systems or exposed to someone with Covid within 12 hours the event, please call James at (650) 248-7091 to reschedule.
