The night before Christmas we learned that two sweet bunnies had been thrown away IN a dumpster. With no regard, they had been tossed out like trash, confined in their dirty cage amidst garbage.
When we heard their story we felt so sad for them and angry that someone could do this to two innocent little girls. We were horrified and felt so bad for the little ones.
The holiday season is a tough time for shelter rabbits. It can be very hard to be left at a shelter over the holidays - Rabbits are often lonely and depressed. Even the staff that usually come in may be off for the Holiday. The Rabbit Haven decided to brighten up their lives one shelter at a time. We decided to create holiday gift boxes filled with food, toys and treats!

Here at The Rabbit Haven & Cavy Haven we are busy rescuing, obtaining medical care for those in need, opening new foster homes for all the new little ones and securing adoptive homes too. We have been able to maintain normal intake and adoption numbers. A bit of a miracle to say the least. We are operating with less funds however so we hope to raise much needed funds to support our rescued animals.
